Small Medium Entreprises (SME’s) play important role in the Indonesian Economy. Its ability to provide jobs and outputs is unchallenged. Although SME’s play central role in the Indonesian Economy, the policy and regulations imposed by the Government are not yet considered optimally in favor of SME’s.

In this context, many new developments have emerged and will continue to grow in the future that would undoubtedly have impacts on conventional small businesses practices. Hence everybody’s concerned on the future of SME’s is required to save the business from global business pressure, where the pace of globalization process pursued by active players, hyper economic activities and new scenario in legal and political landscape are among major change levers. 

It is hoped that this conference can shed some lights in various Small Business issues and challenges through which experts, practitioners and researchers in the area will be sharing in common platform to share their views and experiences for betterment of SME’s future in Indonesia.
